Running a bike shop, I needed a webstore that sells while I’m in the workshop. Nexilon built it fast, made it look professional, and day one — orders came in.

Frequently Asked Questions

Credibility and Identity

Who is behind Nexilon?

Hussein Emam, based in Frick, Aargau. That’s the direct answer. I work with a small network of specialist collaborators for specific technical tasks, but every client relationship is mine — the first call, the strategy, the delivery, the follow-up. I’m not a project manager handing briefs to a production team in another city. When you email Nexilon, I answer. When something goes wrong, I fix it. That’s the model I chose deliberately, because I’ve seen what happens to Swiss practice owners when their account manager changes three times in a year.

I kept encountering the same problem. Excellent professionals — physiotherapists with 15 years of experience, lawyers with deep sector knowledge, doctors who their patients trusted completely — were invisible online. Or worse: their digital presence actively undermined the trust they’d spent years earning. The agencies they’d hired didn’t understand the compliance rules for regulated professions. localsearch gave them a directory entry and called it digital marketing. Wix gave them a template and left them responsible for the GDPR implications they didn’t know existed. I built Nexilon to be the specific answer to that specific gap: digital expertise, sector knowledge, and Swiss compliance in one place.

Three things you can verify before you sign anything. First: ask us about the data protection rules that apply to your appointment form. We’ll answer specifically — article number, implications for your platform, what the fix looks like. Most agencies can’t do this. Second: every website we deliver is hosted in Switzerland, DSG-compliant, and sector-reviewed before launch. Third: I’m personally accountable for every project — there’s no account manager layer between you and the person doing the work. Practices in Aargau and Basel that have worked with localsearch, Mighty Empowerment, or Wix first tell us the same thing: they got a product, not a partner. That’s the gap we fill.

Because their situation is genuinely different — and most agencies treat them the same as a furniture shop or a restaurant. A physiotherapy practice has to manage patient data under revDSG, generate reviews within Physioswiss guidelines, and communicate treatment options without crossing into prohibited medical advertising. A law firm operates under BGFA professional secrecy that affects what it can say publicly. These aren’t edge cases I’ve looked up for a pitch. They’re the daily operating reality of your profession. Understanding them is what makes my work useful — not just technically delivered.

Frick, Aargau — which means the Frick Valley, Brugg, Baden, and the wider Aargau region are a bike ride away. Basel is 40 minutes. Zürich is an hour. I serve German-speaking Switzerland: Aargau, Zürich, Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft, Bern, and Solothurn. For most projects, physical proximity doesn’t change the quality of the work — but for the first meeting, for the GEREF Stamm, and for situations where you want someone who can walk into your practice and look at the problem directly, being local matters.

Expertise and Working Style

What kinds of digital problems do you solve most often?

Five come up again and again — and they’re almost always connected. A practice website hosted on Wix or Squarespace with patient data on US servers (revDSG Art.16 exposure). A Google Business Profile set up once and never touched since, ranking on page 2 for the practice’s own speciality. No system for managing reviews — either ignoring them entirely or responding inconsistently in ways that don’t reflect the practice’s professional standard. A social media presence that went quiet after the first six months because nobody had time. And no online booking, despite 77% of Swiss patients now expecting to book outside of office hours. None of these are unusual problems. They’re what happens when a practice builds a digital presence once and leaves it running.

How well do you understand the compliance and communication needs of regulated professions?
Well enough to have built sector-specific compliance checklists for six professions: physiotherapists, doctors, lawyers, fiduciaries, tax advisers, and psychologists. Each checklist covers the specific legal framework — revDSG, FMH StaO, BGFA, Physioswiss — and flags the seven most common violations we see in practice-website audits in Aargau and Basel. We’ve published parts of this research publicly. If you want to read it before deciding whether to work with us, that’s the right thing to do — and we’ve made it easy.

Long-term — but we never require it, and we don’t structure our contracts to trap you. Some clients have hired us for a single Praxis-Check and walked away with a clear action list they implemented themselves. Others have been retainer clients since the first month. The ones who stay do so because the monthly report shows results they can verify, because I answer emails the same day, and because I tell them honestly when I see something in their digital environment that needs attention before they ask. That’s what a long-term partner looks like. If it doesn’t feel that way after six months, you should cancel.

One rule I apply to everything I write: if I can’t explain it in plain Hochdeutsch without using terms your Treuhand partner wouldn’t recognise, I haven’t understood it well enough myself. I won’t tell you about “Core Web Vitals.” I’ll tell you: your website takes 4.3 seconds to load on a mobile phone. Half of the people who searched for you this week left before the page appeared. Here’s the one change that brings it under 2 seconds. Specific problem. Specific number. Specific fix. That’s the level of explanation every project gets — in the monthly report, in the discovery call, and on the invoice.

Sachlichkeit first. I give you the facts, the numbers, and the honest assessment — even when the honest assessment is that you don’t need what you were about to buy. Swiss professional buyers deserve that standard, and it’s also just how I want to work. Second: named accountability. Everything I commit to is in writing, with a delivery date, and I stand behind it personally. Third: no lock-in by design. Your domain, your hosting account, your Google profile — all stay in your name from day one. Trust that depends on making it hard to leave isn’t trust. It’s a contract clause.

Proof and Reassurance

What kinds of projects has Nexilon already completed?

Practice websites for physiotherapy clinics, legal firms, and advisory practices — built on Swiss-hosted infrastructure with sector-specific compliance furniture included. Google Business Profile optimisations that moved Aargau-area practices from page 2 to the local 3-Pack within 8–12 weeks. DSG-Prüfungen that identified Art.16 exposure in Wix-hosted practices that had no idea the risk existed. Review management setups for practices that had never responded to a single Google review. Our references page lists completed work with scope, platform, and outcome summaries — and we update it as new projects close.

Physiotherapy, general medicine, law, fiduciary and accounting services, and psychological practices — across German-speaking Aargau and Basel. That’s a deliberate range, not an accident. It’s narrow enough that our sector knowledge is real (we know what Tarmed means to a physio’s pricing anxiety, what BGFA means to a lawyer’s advertising boundaries, what FMH StaO Art.20 means to a doctor’s review strategy). And it’s broad enough that we’ve seen how digital presence needs differ between a solo physiotherapist in Frick and a four-partner law firm in Basel.

German is our primary working language — Swiss High German standard: no ß, Swiss spelling conventions, Swiss regulatory vocabulary. We work in English and French for international contexts and for practices with multilingual patient communities. Arabic-language website content is available, particularly for practices in Basel or Zürich with a significant Arabic-speaking patient base. Every language version is reviewed for natural tone and regulatory accuracy — not passed through translation software and published.

Directly involved in everything. Not “available for questions” — actually doing the work. The audit is mine. The website architecture is mine. The content review is mine. The monthly report is mine. This is also why we keep the active client load manageable — quality breaks down past a certain number of parallel projects, and I’d rather have 12 clients I can fully serve than 25 I can only partially serve. Clients who’ve worked with larger agencies tell us the difference is noticeable from the second week.

By treating them as a single problem, not four separate deliverables. The audit tells us which pages need what content. The compliance check tells us what the website architecture must accommodate. The design serves the conversion goal — not an aesthetic preference. A website that looks excellent but stores patient data on US servers has failed on the only dimension that actually matters for a regulated Swiss practice. We check all four dimensions before a single line of code is written — and we document every decision so you can review it if you ever change partners.

Trust and Selection Risk

Why should I trust Nexilon with a sensitive website for a healthcare, legal, or advisory business?

You should verify before trusting. Here’s what you can verify: every website we deliver includes a documented Swiss hosting setup with named provider; a sector-specific DSG review covering the articles most relevant to your profession; full client ownership of all accounts from day one; and a written handover document at project close. You can ask us specific compliance questions before signing — the quality of those answers is the most reliable signal. If we answer vaguely, you’ve learned something useful. If we answer specifically with article numbers and practical implications, that’s the standard you should expect from any digital partner working with your patient or client data.

The scope goes in writing before work starts. Every deliverable has a specific description, a specific deadline, and a specific price. We never add scope during a project without a written change request and your approval. Any term in our proposal that you’d have to look up — we rewrite before sending. After the project, the monthly report uses the same plain standard: what we did, what moved, what’s next. You should be able to read it in 5 minutes without a digital marketing background and understand exactly what you paid for.

30 minutes. Video or phone, your choice. I’ll ask about your practice: what you do, who your ideal patient or client is, what you know about your current digital situation, what you’d like to change in the next 12 months. I’ll share what I see as the most likely gaps for your sector and region — based on what we’ve found in similar practices, not a generic diagnosis. At the end, you’ll know which service makes sense as a first step and what it costs. No follow-up deck. No second discovery call before a proposal. A straight answer, that day.

When you need a national brand campaign, paid advertising at scale, or a webshop with complex inventory management. When your priorities change every few weeks and you need an agency that can pivot at the same pace. When you want a large team with dedicated account managers, weekly status meetings, and agency-style production cycles. And when budget is the primary selection criterion — we’re not the cheapest option, and we don’t try to be. We’re the right option for a practice owner who wants a specific, measurable improvement in how the right patients find and choose them online — delivered by someone who understands their professional world.

A simple one, and I’ll say it without the grand-mission language. Too many excellent Swiss professionals are harder to find online than they are to find in person. A physiotherapist with 20 years of experience and a full appointment book built on word-of-mouth is invisible on Google, unmanaged on Maps, and presenting herself online in a way that doesn’t reflect what she’s built. I want to close that gap — one audit, one website, one well-managed review campaign at a time. Not by scaling to hundreds of clients. By doing it properly for the ones I take on, until the reference list is long enough that the next Physio in Aargau doesn’t have to wonder whether to trust us.
