Marketing mix and target list

The next forty firms that fit you. By name.

Anyone can buy addresses. An address does not tell you why to call this week.

Nexilon Services GmbH builds target lists for B2B sellers in Switzerland: legal form, employee band, canton, a named contact with function, and a dated reason to call, each field carrying its public source and the date it was checked. Nexilon supplies the Article 19 information-notice text required under the revised Swiss data protection law, and does not carry out any outreach itself.

Named firms, a dated reason to call each one, and the source of every fact.

What you get

Two things, and the second is worthless without the first.

The mix, decided

Which firms, through which channel, in what order, over what horizon. One page, with the reasoning, so that you can disagree with a specific choice instead of the whole plan.

The list, by name

Legal form, employee band, canton, and the named contact with their function — not a generic info@ address and not a job title we guessed.

A dated reason to call

Per record: what happened, when, and where we read it. A funding round, a new site, a published tender, a vacancy that reveals a project, or a leadership change. Not a score. A fact with a date on it.

The source of every single fact

Every field carries the URL and the date it was checked. You can verify any row without asking us, and so can your lawyer.

The Article 19 notice text

Written for you, ready to use, so that you can meet your own duty to inform the people you contact under the revised Swiss data protection law. No competitor in this market ships this.

The exclusions, listed

Which firms we looked at and rejected, and why. It is usually the most re-read page: it tells you what the list is not.

What is not included

The line between building the list and using it is the whole position. We stay on one side of it.

  • Outreach of any kind.
  • Calls or letters sent in your name.
  • Any guarantee that a given contact is reachable.
  • Any undertaking that a listed firm will reply or buy.
  • Enrichment from purchased databases — every fact comes from a public source we name.

What we need from you

Three things, and no more.

  • Your three best current customers, and one sentence each on why they bought.
  • Two firms you would like to work with and one you would not, with the reason.
  • The record count you want, and your budget shape. Both are agreed before we begin.

If you have no customers yet — a market entrant usually has none in Switzerland — we work from the profile of your customers elsewhere and mark every transferred assumption as an assumption.

How long it takes

A date, not an estimate.

Ten working days for a first list, counted from the later of the signed engagement letter and the profile session.

The exact date is in the engagement letter. Miss it and the list is free.

What it costs

One number, before anything starts.

A fixed price, in writing, before any work begins. Not a range in the proposal, not an hourly rate, and not a number that moves once we are inside the work.

We do not publish a price on this page, and we would rather tell you why than pretend it is a policy. Our price card is being set from the first engagements we deliver, not from what we would like to charge.

Publishing a number now would mean inventing one. When you ask, you get the real figure for your scope — inside one working day, in writing, and it does not change afterwards.

If the number is wrong for you, say so on the call. We will tell you which smaller piece of the work is worth doing on its own, or that nothing is.

Two guarantees, in the engagement letter

We carry the delivery risk. You keep the exit.

Consulting has two failure modes that clients cannot control: it arrives late, and it turns out not to have been worth it. We put a price on both — ours.

Guarantee 1

The date guarantee

On the day we named, or you pay nothing.

At the engagement letter we write one calendar date. If the work lands after it for any reason inside our control, the engagement is free — you still receive everything, complete.

On the two subscription services, a missed weekly briefing credits that month in full.

The clock starts on the later of two moments: the signed engagement letter, or the day we receive the information listed under “What we need from you”.

It pauses to the day whenever we are waiting on you, and every pause is logged in the file you receive.

You never have to claim it. We check the date ourselves and apply the credit on the invoice.

Guarantee 2

30 days money back

Not worth it? Full refund, no reasons asked.

For 30 days after delivery you can ask for your money back. No form, no justification and no meeting to talk you out of it. One email or one phone call, and we transfer within five working days.

What a refund means, stated plainly: the licence to use the deliverable ends, you delete your copies, and we delete ours.

On a monthly service the refund covers the month just invoiced, and the service stops at the end of it.

Money we paid to third parties on your behalf is not refunded — a register extract, a data source or a translator. These appear as separate lines on the invoice.

Both guarantees are written into the engagement letter you receive before you sign. They apply to all four services, with no exceptions beyond the two named above.

How it works

Three steps. You can stop after any of them.

1

One profile session

Ninety minutes on who buys, who decides, and what a good fit looks like in a Swiss context rather than your home one.

2

We build and verify

Public sources only. Every fact is checked and dated. Rejected candidates are recorded with the reason.

3

The list, plus the notice text

Delivered as a spreadsheet you own, with the mix on one page and the Article 19 notice ready to use.

Why the data-protection paragraph is not boilerplate

Under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, if you contact a person whose details you obtained from somewhere other than that person, you owe them an information notice. The obligation is yours, not your list supplier's — which is exactly why list suppliers do not mention it.

We write the notice text for you and hand it over with the list, because a list you cannot lawfully use is not a list. This is orientation, not legal advice, and we say so on the document.

Before you commit anything

Judge the work before you buy it.

Ten sample records, free, before you decide.

Real firms, real contacts, real sources, built to your profile. Use them. Call them. If the quality is not obviously different from what you can buy, do not commission the rest.

Questions and answers

Answered here, so you do not have to ask.

What does it cost?

A fixed price for an agreed record count, in writing before we start. The count is decided with you first, because it is the only real driver of the work.

We do not publish a figure here: our price card is being set from live engagements rather than from a number we would like to charge. Ask and you have yours within one working day.

Why not just buy a database?

Because a database gives you rows and you still have to decide which twelve to call on Monday. What you are paying us for is the reason to call — a dated, sourced fact about that firm this quarter — and the honest exclusions.

Test it directly with the ten free records. Put them next to ten rows from any provider and see which set you would actually work through.

Where do the facts come from?

Publicly accessible sources only: the commercial register, company websites and news, official gazettes, published tenders, professional associations, job postings, and the public parts of professional networks.

Every field carries its URL and the date it was checked. We do not scrape private data and we do not buy enrichment.

Are we allowed to contact these people?

Contacting a business by post or telephone is generally permitted in Switzerland. Advertising by electronic means without prior consent is not: the unfair competition rules prohibit mass advertising by telecommunication, and the decisive criterion in the leading fairness-commission decision is automation rather than the number of recipients.

Individually written, individually sent email sits outside that prohibition; the same message pushed through a sending tool does not.

Telephone numbers must be checked for the directory objection marker before you dial, and your caller ID must be a listed number you are entitled to use.

This is research, not legal advice. We give you the Article 19 notice text and the rules as we understand them; have your counsel read your actual sequence once before you scale it.

Will you do the outreach for us?

No, and not because we cannot. You are the sender or someone you employ is. That keeps the compliance posture clean, it keeps your name on the relationship, and it is the reason we can say we earn nothing from what happens after the list.

If you want the sequence itself written and the replies qualified, that is the Lead Track — and even there, you send.

What happens if the list arrives late?

It is free, and you still receive it complete. The clock pauses for any day we are waiting on the profile session or on a decision from you, and every pause is logged.

And if the list is not useful?

Thirty days, money back, no reasons. The licence to use the records ends, you delete your copies and we delete ours.

The ten free records exist so that this almost never has to happen. Judge the work before you buy it.

How long does the list stay good?

The facts are dated, so you can see for yourself. In practice the contact names decay fastest — expect meaningful drift after about six months in a growing sector, longer in a stable one.

A refresh is a separate engagement at a separate price. We will not sell you one before you have worked through the first list.

How many records should I ask for?

Fewer than you think. Forty named firms with a real reason to call is more than most single operators work through properly in a quarter, and a list you do not finish teaches you nothing.

We will argue you down if you ask for a number you cannot work.
